COIS SCOI Walk N Wheel 2024

Annemarie Coughlin and Zooey Schneider have been friends for over 10 years.  They are 11 year olds with lots in common, Swifties at heart, and they also share living with Osteogenesis Imperfecta.  Annemarie lives with Type 3 OI and Zooey lives with Type 5 OI.  Between the girls, they have had countless fractures, a bjillion xrays, many surgeries and too many hospital visits.   Their spirits and strength are incredibly unbreakable!

The Coughlins and Schneiders are walking & wheeling to raise money for the Canadian OI Society because of its contribution and impact for families living with OI.    The COIS is the only OI charitable organization that supports Canadian families.   The COIS provides funding for medical fellowships and research that significantly advances the care of OI patients.   The girls and their families also enjoy opportunities for fellowship and learning through COIS sponsored events, such as Camp OI Can and regional conferences.

Thanks to our generous donors in 2022, COIS launched 2 major initiatives;

The Francis Glorieux Fellowship For Medical Research. Ensuring sustainable excellence in ongoing research, treatment and management of OI.

OI Can Family Camp. A partnership with Camp Maple Leaf, to create the very first OI Family Camp in Canada. Providing financial assistance to qualifying families wishing to attend summer camp. We hope to expand Camp OI Can to Eastern and Western Canada, stay tuned!
