“Building Brighter Futures"


In Punjab, India, countless young children face a heartbreaking reality: lack of access to education, crumbling schools, and the constant shadow of inequality. Adding to this crisis is Punjab’s growing drug problem, which has become a devastating epidemic, especially in rural areas.


For many families, drugs are tearing communities apart, leaving children without parents, parents without children and depriving generations of hope. Without access to education and opportunities, many children risk falling victim to the ripple effects of this crisis.
 

This year, we aim to raise £100k to help create safe, inspiring, and nurturing teaching environments for the students of Akal Academy, Jandiali. Punjab.

The school has already begun improving its facilities, and the funds raised will help support:

  • New classrooms
  • A new maths laboratory
  • A new activity room
  • A new language laboratory
  • A new medical room
  • 12 new rooms for a nursery wing

These improvements will give students access to the facilities and resources they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
