Fundraising on behalf of We Are Ill
Today is Giving Tuesday, and my heart keeps coming back to the women of We Are ILL.
If you’ve been alongside this journey with me, you know why this community matters. Black women living with chronic illness are too often treated as invisible in healthcare, in research, and in the everyday systems meant to support them. And yet, every time I sit with this community, I see power, expertise, leadership, and love. I see women holding families together, advocating for themselves, navigating symptoms no one prepared them for, and still showing up for others.
his organization has become a landing place for so many who’ve carried their illness in silence. A place where they’re not dismissed. Not questioned. Not minimized. A place where joy, education, sisterhood, and healing all exist in the same room.
And I’ve watched the impact firsthand.
Mothers and daughters learning how to care for each other.
Black women stepping into research conversations as leaders.
Young women getting access to specialists they didn't know existed.
Communities being rebuilt one resource and one connection at a time.
Caregivers having a space to find support and take a break from their efforts.
If this work speaks to you, I’m asking for your support today.
A donation to We Are ILL directly fuels programming, scholarships, clinical education, community events, and life-changing advocacy for women who deserve far better than what the world has given them.
Every dollar moves this mission forward.
Every contribution matters.
Give if you can.
Share if you can’t.
Stand with us either way.
