The calendar contest voting has now closed and Iris brought in 352 votes! Yaay for you Iris!
Blind dogs can still smell love! My sweet girl Iris, who is Blind, mostly deaf, and senior--- was found inside of a trash dumpster on 9/3/16 in San Diego, Ca. The shelter where Iris was being held, contacted a local Cocker rescue group for help. Because it's difficult to place a blind, deaf dog, the rescue group put Iris's predicament out--- through social media. My heart instantly melted for Iris... I became her Mommy on 10/1/16. Taking this gentle, resilient little soul into my HEART has taught me MUCH about life. I want to share with everyone who will listen---that blind, deaf dogs are not throw away!
Iris is entering Camp Cockers 2018 calendar contest--- because we LOVE rescues, especially Camp Cocker! We also want to show that blind, deaf dogs are beautiful, and remind folks that they too make loving companions. In recent months, we have had issues regarding Iris's dental health, etc. while Iris is not a Camp Cocker dog, Camp Cocker has taken the time to answer many health questions and has also offered us emotional support for blind, deaf dogs.
My heart would swell, to see my sweet, resilient girl--- rise from a dumpster and onto the pages of a Camp Cocker calendar!!
Blind dogs can still smell love, Iris.
$1 = 1 Vote!
