I am passionate about creating a Safer Tennessee for my community and for my children. Voices for a Safer Tennessee is a nonprofit (501c4), nonpartisan statewide coalition dedicated to prioritizing firearm safety and advocating for common-sense firearm laws to make communities across Tennessee safer for all of us. This is not a partisan issue. We are dedicated to working together, across party lines, to make real progress.

WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT:

Gun violence is the #1 killer of children in Tennessee.

In the last decade, Tennessee's firearm deaths have risen by 52%. 

19 states have Extreme Risk laws, including Indiana and Florida. 

Households that lock firearms and ammunition see up to 85% reduction in unintentional injuries.

More than 70% of TN parents believe universal background checks would make schools safer.

In Tennessee, a firearm suicide death occurs every 12 hours.

63% of all suicides in Tennessee involve a firearm.
