Supporting Rengstorff House
For over 30 years, the dedicated volunteers of Friends of "R" House have partnered with the City of Mountain View to preserve and share the history of the Rengstorff House. We provide research, historical interpretation, and a collection of furnishings and artifacts that bring the house's story to life. We support the City on relevant events through speakers, exhibits, and special tours. We also host our educational programs and activities that highlight the landmark home. One of our more recent project highlights is the Friends' Rengstorff House 3D Exhibit, which allows us to share the history and period interiors of the home in an immersive and publicly accessible online format.
Want to support our mission and get involved?
Your support, whether financial or in-kind, and the gift of your volunteer time, all help make our educational programs, outreach activities, and operations possible.
The Friends also depend on memberships and your donations for the continuous maintenance and preservation of the collection on exhibit at the museum, and to cover insurance requirements related to the physical use of Rengstorff House for outreach and educational purposes.
Volunteering
If you’re interested in volunteering, we’re currently looking for House Docents, to staff the museum on Sundays from 1-4 PM, and also have opportunities to do behind-the-scenes and/or remote work including research, photography, social media, copywriting, and editing, collections management, and helping during events on an as-needed basis. Please send us an email at info@friendsofrhouse.org, and we’ll be happy to hear from you.
We appreciate your contributions! Follow us on social media for other happenings coming this year.
Thanks for your support,
Friends of “R” House
