Dr. Verity Cooper offers an inspiring independent change to the same old party politics.

Recent polling data has just come in and ...WE CAN WIN THIS SEAT!!!  But, we can't win without you.

The polling data tells us that Sturt is already getting behind Verity – they love what she stands for. The only thing holding us back is not enough people know her yet.

If we can hit our target of 70% name recognition, we will win Sturt.

To scale up our efforts, we are using Donorbox crowd fundraising to raise at least $40,000.

This last $20,000 will power up key initiatives including:

  • A mobile billboard we can drive all around Sturt, ensuring Dr. Verity Cooper’s presence is seen everywhere.
  • Increased Media Presence
  • More branded merchandise and signage that will spread the message far and wide.
  • Online advertising that will target voters across the electorate.

We are running a SUPER frugal campaign and every single dollar counts, but with you and everyone’s collaborative efforts we WILL WIN STURT!

Our system of government in Canberra isn’t working – the major parties listen to lobbyists rather than the Community and the good of the country comes a poor second to point scoring and abusing opponents. We need reforms in major areas like housing, health, taxation and most importantly for our grandchildren we need to lead the world in reducing carbon emissions. We’ve made a great start in South Australia but there is much more we could do to protect the planet and create a kinder more equal community. With Verity’s voice in Canberra our voices will be heard. Go Verity!

As an Independent, you can represent Australian values such as our respect for the rule of law and 'a fair go', and you can stand up to bullies instead of following 'the party line'. It is not antisemitic to say Israel is an apartheid regime that needs to be sanctioned for continued violations of international law. Zionism is a political ideology, not a religion. Palestinians in the occupied territories must be allowed to vote (in one state or two) and shape their own future. Israel must release political prisoners like Marwan "Mandela" Barghouti to allow/encourage peace through diplomacy, and stop the endless violence. Australia must support all efforts for a lasting solution, including Egypt's plan for Gaza which is supported by 57 nations. Australia must join South Africa and countless other nations to bring Israel to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), and they must uphold the International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrants for Netanyahu and others who have (allegedly) committed crimes against humanity. It's abundantly clear that genocide is happening in Gaza, so Australia must do MUCH more to stop this obscenity, and the racist abuse and ethnic cleansing of all Palestinians.
