Venezuela nos necesita

I was born in Venezuela, and even though I now live far from home, my heart never really left. When the devastating earthquakes hit on June 24th, leaving thousands of families without homes, loved ones missing, and entire communities in ruins, I knew I couldn't just watch from the sidelines.

That's why I'm raising funds for Ventura Orbit, an organization I trust because it isn't new to this fight. Long before this disaster, Ventura Orbit (the public face of AK Project Inc., a U.S.-registered nonprofit founded by Venezuelans) was already on the ground feeding hungry children, supporting vulnerable women, and investing in education and health across some of Venezuela's poorest communities. They didn't show up overnight; they've spent years building real relationships and trust with local partners, which means when a crisis like this hits, they can move fast and reach people that bigger, less-connected organizations often can't.

What gives me confidence in donating here is how transparent they are about where the money goes. Every dollar raised for this emergency is kept in a separate account used only for earthquake relief, and it's channeled through local organizations that Ventura Orbit has already vetted and worked with. They commit to sending donors regular updates and a full report on how funds were used and the impact they made. As a registered 501(c)(3), their finances are also audited every year and open to the public.

I'm not asking you to give blindly. I'm asking you to help me support people who are rebuilding their lives from nothing, through an organization with a real track record of getting help to the people who need it most. Every contribution, big or small, becomes part of that lifeline back to my country.
