Goal

Utah is a hotbed for radon with an estimated 35% of all single-family residences in Utah having more than 4.0 pCi/L of radon, which is the EPAs' action level for radon mitigation.

The cost of radon mitigation services is one of the strongest barriers to Utahns having radon mitigated in their homes. This is clearly a problem for the 80,000 low-income households in Utah, many who are homeowners, and nearly 20% of whom are older than 50 years old and on fixed incomes.

One hundred percent (100%) of the funding from this campaign will be directed to the Utah Radon Coalition Low-Income Radon Mitigation Assistance Program that provides financial assistance with radon mitigation services to qualified low-income households.
