The U.S. Tour of Duty fosters business and social alliances between veterans and nonveterans for the greater good. We also present free concerts for audiences comprised exclusively of veterans at VA hospitals and veterans' housing communities, and paid admission concerts for the public with proceeds from ticket sales supporting services for veterans.
Our Veterans Community Theater trains veterans to work as stage managers at Los Angeles theaters. Our Social Entrepreneurs project helps launch and grow veteran-owned businesses. Our Mentoring program connects veterans who are pursuing a career in the entertainment/media field with established professionals. Our Artist Residencies provide accommodations at no charge to artist-veterans who want to experience the rich culture of New Orleans while creating art for the community. Our Art Therapy workshops tap into creativity to help veterans meet the challenges of everyday life.
The U.S. Tour of Duty, a program of HomeFront Rising, is managed by Social & Environmental Entrepreneurs. Our primary partner is the Arts Council for Long Beach. Funding is provided by the California Arts Council in connection with its Veterans in the Arts (VIA) program. Your contributions are fully tax-deductible.
