Goal

That's right: we're now in the USA! We have established a fully registered and IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Florida to better serve our patients with mental and physical disabilities in Cape Town, South Africa.
Why the U.S.A. if you are in South Africa?
The goal is to develop our nonprofits in South Africa by creating an office in the U.S.A. to help sustain projects to support our more than 300 permanent care no-income patients living with Schizophrenia, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Severe Epilepsy, brain injuries, and Down Syndrome. These adults and children are unable to integrate into society due to the severity of their illness.
But I don’t get it. Can’t they support themselves in South Africa. What’s the problem?
A few years ago, the founder, Roy Harris, of our South African (RSA) mental health nonprofit facilities and clinics approached the Head of Health in Western Cape, South Africa, to discuss the lack of funding from the government for people with disabilities. At the time, the funding allocated for these special populations amounted to just one third of operational costs through a service level agreement. The South African health official responded by saying: “Roy, if you cannot make it, close your doors and put the patients on the street.” How do you just throw out severely and profoundly disabled children and frail-care patients on the street?! Roy wondered.
Cue ‘Life Esidimeni’ scam
You may already have been living in the USA when the story made headlines, as the news of the brutal and inhumane deaths of 144 patients at psychiatric facilities in Gauteng, South Africa rocked the world. This undeserved tragedy was all due to a poorly planned move by the Department of Health to further their own agenda. 144 lives were lost unnecessarily and some patients are still missing and unaccounted for to this day.
So, USA4RSA is helping those people who would have been left on the streets?
Exactly. This sparked a pressing urgency for Roy Harris to establish USA4RSA in the Florida, USA. The nonprofit was fast tracked when a Judge found the state guilty of serious neglect, acting with ulterior motives. The word ‘murder’ was used in his report.’ The actions of the state led to the death of 144 patients and torture of 1,418 others by the state, when the state withdrew funding and removed patients from another similar nonprofit.
More than 200 anxious South African families and social workers of individuals with special needs are currently on USA4RSA’s affiliate nonprofits’ waiting list for admission to one of USA4RSA’s facilities.
I am on board. How will my money be used?
Great question: Whichever campaign you choose, 100% of your donation(s) will be applied to said campaign. Roy, who founded the seven non-profit mental health facilities in Cape Town more than 30 years ago, is the same person spearheading the new USA-based nonprofit, USA4RSA.
Will my donation actually help?
As a matter of fact, it already has! Your previous donations have helped us buy vital signs monitors to monitor blood pressure and key health metrics to our 300+ patients. In 2021-2022 alone, we were able to deliver an impressive 1,200+ daily meals to our seven facilities through our partner, Community Diners. In addition, your donation money has helped pay for staff salaries to our 120 employees, train and sponsor up to 40 qualifying care-givers annually at no cost to said caregivers, maintain our buildings and vehicles, and more. We could not do this work without you. I thank you for your donation. Whether you see it or not, your donations really are making a difference in making our world a better place.
And your donation help us continue doing great work!

A Word of Gratitude
Seriously, I want to thank you for your donation. Whether large or small, it goes a long way. It helps pave the future for adults and children who, without it, may never feel like they are a part of society.
Thank you again,
