My name is Mahrous. I am 30 years old, a mother from Gaza, and I am writing to you with a heart full of hope. I pray that my words reach your hearts before your eyes.
I live with my family — eight of us — in a torn, fragile tent. Among us is my baby girl, Mecca, just 10 months old. She is my whole world.
I am a simple mother. I don’t ask for much in this life — only to see my daughter safe, warm, and fed. But right now, even her most basic needs feel out of reach.
There are days when I cannot provide enough for her. Days when I don’t have milk. Days when I watch her and feel completely helpless. There is no greater pain for a mother than being unable to comfort her own child.
You may think that $5 is too small to matter… but for us, it means everything.
It can mean:
- Milk for Mecca
- A warm meal
- Clean waterA small sense of safety for one more day
-
Your kindness, no matter how small, can ease this heavy burden and give my daughter a chance to survive and grow.
I am reaching out to your compassion. Please, do not leave us alone in this hardship.
From a mother holding onto hope — thank you for anything you can give.
With all my love and gratitude,
Mahrous 💔

For many years, I’ve supported international organizations that provide humanitarian aid, help children and mothers, and assist families displaced by war. Since last year, I’ve been personally helping families in Gaza, witnessing firsthand the extreme challenges they face every day.
