All proceeds from a 24-hour live stream fundraiser that runs from Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. EST until 6 p.m. on Oct. 8 go to help fund programs put on and sponsored by Camaraderie Rescue Mission Inc. (TCRMI). This fundraiser, called the Unstoppable Camaraderie 24-Hour Fundraiser for all Heroes, Badges and Warriors, will bring awareness to the problems that veterans are facing. The biggest one is hopelessness and their struggles with their PTSD.

The event is hosted by Dorothy O’Dell of Unstoppable Overcomers Productions and Tim Sohn of Sohn Social Media Solutions.

According to new statics by Fox News on Sept. 20, we are losing 44 veterans a day by suicide.

When O’Dell had Bicknell, a retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant/E-9, on her show Unstoppable Overcomers on Jan. 31, both of their lives changed.

Bicknell is the founder of Camaraderie Rescue Mission Inc. He started the nonprofit because when he finally went for help after many years of struggling alone with his PTSD and suicidal thoughts, he was told to make an appointment.

That lit a fire under Bicknell because he knew he would not have been the only one to get that response. TCRMI helps connect veterans and first responders to the three pillars of camaraderie connection, sustenance, and support.

TCRMI has several programs that help with those pillars, and they are adding more weekly. The organization never charges a veteran for these services – that is why they rely on fundraising and need your help.

After being on Unstoppable Overcomers, O’Dell and her business partner Kimberly Genovese have become not only friends of Bicknell but also serve on the board of TCRMI.

O’Dell and Genovese both say that “we knew that we had to do something to help our veterans and bring awareness to the increasing numbers of people taking their life”.

O’Dell and Sohn have done another 24-hour event while raising money for cancer so we thought why not do it again, this time for TCRMI.

There will be about 20 streamers throughout the 24-hour event. Plus, other veteran organizations that have either collaborated or will collaborate with TCRMI in the future so that we can get the veterans and first responders the help they need.

There is also another way to donate to TCRMI- they are having a six-month Freedom Boat Club membership raffle as well. With the purchase of a TCRMI T-shirt, they get a raffle ticket for a chance to win.

There are over 350 locations to choose from. The central hub for this raffle is Winter Haven, Fla., so it will be unlimited in the area for six months.

The value is over $7,500, but the cost of a ticket is only $100. It’s a great way for business owners to entertain their clients. They can purchase their tickets today at www.TCRMI.org/shop.

Camaraderie Rescue Mission Inc. is a Section 501(c) (3) nonprofit foundation, EIN 86-1211891. All donations are deemed tax-deductible absent any limitations on deductibility applicable to a particular taxpayer.
