Thomas Heran. Underwater photo guide of marine life from Chilean Patagonia
Thank you for considering making a donation to “Underwater photo guide of marine life from Chilean Patagonia”.
There is only scarce knowledge on the underwater biodiversity from the Chilean Patagonia. This mainly because of the difficult access for its fragmentation landscape and for its rough weather, which limit exploration mainly for summer. If damages to species can be attributed to certain human activities, the Chilean government is legally obligated to study and mitigate the magnitude of the impact. However, determine this is difficult if we are uncertain of the biodiversity of some areas. Hence, is essential to create a species richness catalog which can be found in the fjords, channels and islands from the Chilean Patagonia.
With this work, I hope to inspire decision makers of the Patagonian’s underwater natural beauty and its biodiversity heritage, with the aim to provide them facts to actively conserved diverse areas of interest.
