UNDERSERVED SCHOLARSHIP DRIVE
Help UNDERSERVED Kids ENROLL in FALL MUSIC CLASSES
Check out this short video about how NSM Austin brings music to those who need it most.
We, at New School of Music, Austin, are asking our supporters and advocates to please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any size to Help Underserved Kids ENROLL in FALL MUSIC CLASSES in our after-school programs in the Austin area.
Since 2013, New School of Music, Austin has taught music for K-12 students in Title I schools (which have a high percentage of children from low-income families). Music education has been proven to not only help develop brain areas involved in language and reasoning, but also develop character, teamwork skills, discipline, creativity, academics, and self-expression.
Music studies inspire creativity, develop excellent music skills, teach valuable life lessons, and are so much fun!”
In addition to our in-school underserved music programs, NSM Austin also provides loaner instruments for students who need one. This enables them the opportunity to take it home and practice, and to perform in recitals and concerts. They also are rewarded with the ownership of their instrument, at the completion of their successful music studies at the end of the school year.
New School of Music, Austin scholarships up to half of our total enrollment to underserved kids, who are identified by NSM, Austin and its partners. Scholarship recipients are selected based on economic need, desire to learn, and commitment.
Please join us in helping us to invest in the music education of underserved youth through your tax-deductible donation.
