Goal
Friends and family,
As many of you know, I spent last summer in Krakow Poland, studying for six weeks and then volunteering at an English Immersion camp for close to 100 Ukrainian refugee kids ages 5-18.
The camp was a huge success: the kids were able to just be kids, having fun and making friends, and it proved also to foster community among otherwise isolated parents and families who were able to connect as a result.
We did so much over those 10 days, from doing crafts, playing games and sports, putting on silly skits, singing songs, going hiking, and hosting a family day carnival. The kids learned English, primarily through immersion, and we picked up a bit of Ukrainian!
I'll be back in Krakow this summer to help run the camp again, and am in need both of your prayers and your financial support.
The cost of flying out 18 American volunteers and hosting a camp for this many kids is huge. Volunteers are being asked to raise $400 to cover their own expenses, but the cost of the camp far surpasses that.
My goal is to raise $2500 ($400 to cover my living expenses, the rest to help cover the cost of the camp) in hopes of being able to contribute to this amazing mission in a financially as well as personally meaningful way.
Anything you would be willing
to contribute will be
immensely appreciated.
Thank you so much in advance,
and God bless you!
In Him,
Sophia

Below is a letter from Joe and Corinne MacDonald, Co-Founders of the JP II Project
Dear friend,
As their homeland is being devastated by war, many Ukrainian children are living in Krakow, Poland - the homeland of Saint John Paul II.
Our mission is to help young people build the civilization of love and truth, and what better way for American young adults to do so than by encouraging, teaching and evangelizing the future generation of Ukraine - all in the spirit of Saint John Paul II!
Last year's Ukrainian Kids Camp was a wonderful success, with 100 children and only 9 outside volunteers. This year parents and children alike are excited to experience a place of joy and freedom, to grow in friendship with each other and Jesus, and to improve their English with native speakers.
We need your help this year to sponsor 100 Ukrainian children, to bring 18 young Americans to Krakow, and to make this camp twice as good for our little campers!
Your impact will carry far into the future of these little children's lives, as well as the lives of the young adults who will serve them. We are very grateful for every dollar you are able to contribute.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
Peace be with you,
Joe & Corinne MacDonald
