Ukraine action - humanitarian convoys and medical evacuations
SJRW (Specialized Veterinary Rescue Unit), including Emergency Medical Team & Polish Specialized Animal Rescue Unit.
The overriding goal of our activities is to save the health and life of people and animals.
Within hours of the outbreak of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the SJRW was fully alert and began to provide relief almost immediately.
We were one the first organization to come to the rescue and we were the first to appear at stations and at the border. We cooperate with the emergency services, hospitals (state and military), law enforcement, and municipal entities.
We have organized 35 humanitarian convoys and medical evacuations within Ukraine and to Poland, including Kramatorsk, Sumy, Kharkov, Tarnopol, and Łuck.
The SJRW also supports the 24th Independent Mechanized Brigade in Jaworow, Lviv region.
SJRW has a qualified staff, including rescuers, doctors and veterinary technicians. It performs tasks on the basis of valid laws, ordinances and regulations within its jurisdiction.
Unfortunately, in order to be able to meet all the challenges posed to us and enable the further operation of the humanitarian and rescue team, we need support. We are financed only from SJRW's own funds and private donations.
We need funding for:
- an specialized all-terrain ambulance and its equipment
- fuel
- potential vehicle repairs
