Contribute to the 2026 UAWD Campaign Fund

Unite All Workers for Democracy (UAWD) is raising money for the 2026 IEB election. After winning 1M1V, electing new reform leadership, and waging a militant strike in the Big Three, we must strengthen and expand reform in the UAW. These funds will be used to support reform candidates for IEB in the 2026 election cycle, as well as other campaign costs incurred by UAWD.

Why are you raising money now, so far before the 2026 election? Raising money early is critical because donations are now limited to $2000 per candidate, per donor. No outside money will be allowed, unlike the previous election. These reforms are positive and will safeguard democracy in our union, but make fundraising harder. These changes make it necessary to get a head-start.

Who will UAWD be supporting in the next election? UAWD has not yet endorsed candidates for IEB in the 2026 election. UAWD makes its endorsement democratically, after interviewing candidates, by membership vote. Any UAW member can join UAWD here: uawd.org/join/

What about the $2000 limit on contributions? You can donate more than $2000 to this fund, but UAWD will carefully track donations to ensure that no more than $2000 per member is spent in support of any particular candidate. For instance, if UAWD endorses 10 candidates in the 2026 IEB election, a UAW member would be able to contribute a maximum of $20,000 (or $2,000 x 10 candidates) for the purpose of supporting these candidates.

Does contributing to UAWD's campaign fund affect how much I can donate directly to a candidate? Yes. If you donate $2000 to UAWD's campaign fund and that money is spent on a candidate, you cannot make further donations to that candidate.

I already donate monthly to UAWD. How can I support this effort? While you're always welcome to make an additional monthly donation here, we are happy to help you convert your current monthly donation to a contribution to the 2026 UAWD Campaign Fund. If necessary, we can also revert your monthly campaign donation back to our general non-campaign organizing fund.
