History is filled with examples of wars in which winter itself played a major role in the fighting, weakening the forces of unprepared combatants through its harsh temperatures. Winter is approaching in Ukraine, and this fundraiser will help ensure that Ukraine's defenders will be better prepared for it.

A good winter uniform can make a very big difference. With a good winter uniform, you are bundled up on a chilly night grumbling about the cold. Without a good winter uniform, you are shivering uncontrollably as frostbite sets in and serious injuries occur to hands and feet which require medical treatment and hospitalization (or worse). We want to do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine's defenders are protected from the coming cold, and we need your help to do that.

In this campaign we want to raise €100,000 so we can provide 1,000 soldiers with winter uniforms. This includes:

€30.80 for a uniform jacket with a removable fleece liner
€16.50 for fleece-lined uniform pants

€38.50 for a pair of boots

This adds up to €85.80 to fully equip 1 defender, and €85,800 to equip 1000 defenders with uniforms and boots. We will use the remaining amount raised to purchase other supplementals such as thermal underwear, socks, and gloves.

We have already received some samples of winter uniforms from vendors, and have tested and verified in person that they are good - we will be ready to proceed with an order quickly as a result.
