Support-a-Unit Fundraiser: Drones for LPD

URGENT! 

After successfully completing the fundraiser for drones for 241st TDF and 30th Brigade, we are now moving to a very special unit: LPD, former Luhansk Police now fighting as a military unit under the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We again aim to raise $ 10.000 to supply this unit with a complete package of 20 drones plus extras.  

It has been known that the Ukrainian drone supremacy of last year has dwindled. That’s one reason circumstances are hard for our friends right now. And while the government meanwhile has increased production, the truth is many units are still dependent on volunteer organizations like UAO to provide them with commercial drones.

Therefore we have launched an drone-program and fundraiser. Each week, we fundraise for a specialized drone unit for approximately 20 drones plus  - if needed - accessories like a powerful antenna and training. For training we cooperate with Khortytska Varta.

The unit for this present fundraiser are former Luhansk Police, now fighting as a unit within the Ukrainian Armed Forces. These guys and girls left their home grounds when Luhansk was taken and had to make a choice: Either join the police in other regions, or to serve along the armed forces to free their own towns and villages. They chose the latter and have been taking part in the Kharkiv counteroffensive - deoccupation of Balaklia, Kupyansk, Lyman and the deoccupation of Klishchiivka (near Bakhmut). Sometimes it happens that one of the members sees his own, now occupied house when flying a reconnaissance drones close to the front.   

Funds coming in after reaching this target will go to our general drone fund.
