Support-a-Unit Fundraiser: 30th Separate Brigade

In November 2023, UAO launched a drone-program and fundraiser. The first unit we included in this program was the UAV unit of 30th Separate Mechanised Brigade. We since learned more about the heroic achievements of this brigade and the difficulties they face in their current positions. We therefore decided to organize a new fundraiser to be able to not only help the UAV unit, but also different branches of this brigade with some of their most urgent requests.

Who are they again?

The 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade is named after Konstanty Ostrogski. This prince was the  the commander of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the early modern era. 30th Brigade is lesser well-known in the West but within Ukraine it is hugely respected for its bravery, discipline and efficiency. In May 2022 the brigade repelled a river crossing by the Russians during the Battle of the Siverskyi Donets, resulting in a huge loss of equipment for the invaders. Other famous battles the 30th actively participated in were the battles for Debaltseve, Maryinka, Marynivka, Horlivka, Bakhmut, as well as in the 2023 Ukrainian counteroffensive.

The units of the 30th Brigade work now in Kupyansk (Kharkiv region) and Soledar (Donetsk region) directions.

So what does this unit need:

- Reconnaissance drones

- Anti-drone equipment

- Starlinks

- Powerstations

- Possibly a pick-up truck

The target of this fundraiser is $25000. We will add two anti-drone devices from our "clear skies" fundraiser, which will enable us to deliver a package with a total value of $30000. Funds coming in after reaching the target will replennish our general fundraiser for anti-drone devices. 

*after completion of the fundraiser, donors will be contacted via e-mail for the shipping details of the promised patches and art works. Therefore, please make sure that your e-mail address is stated correctly. Be aware production and shipping can take 3 (for the patches) up to 5 (for the art works ) months.
