Goal

Combat Veteran News x UAO - Turn Up the Pressure

Which units we want to support

While Ukraine Aid Ops is fully occupied with supplying many units in the Kramatorsk area from the last, very successful campaign, the team of Combat Veteran News wants to turn up the pressure along the extended frontlines. We have decided to launch a campaign focused on 4 illustrious and extremely effective units:

  • 3rd Separate Assault Brigade - fighting in the area between Kharkiv and Kramatorsk. The unit which brings stability to the north-eastern front.
  • 54th Separate Reconnaissance Battalion - fighting at the Kupyansk hotspot. 54th is a renowned reconnaissance unit, who recently received attention for the elimination of the elite russian saboteur unit Senezh.
  • The 7th Rapid Response Corps is a new command unit for Ukraine's air assault troops like 35th, 79th, 81st. Its role is to provide a rapid response and strike force for the Ukrainian military – the corps fights on both sides of Pokrovsk – as well as deep in the city itself.
  • Lyut Brigade is mainly composed of policemen and volunteers – many of them from Donbas – who have been taking up arms since 2014. They still reside under National Police of Ukraine. This highly skilled brigade, known for its meticulously planned operations, is fighting in the Kramatorsk direction.
  • The 73rd Naval Special Operations Center is Ukraine’s elite naval spetsnaz unit, operating under the Special Operations Forces.

They specialize in amphibious reconnaissance, underwater demolition, counter-terrorism, and clandestine raids - recently carrying out covert Black Sea operations, including destroying a russian radar station.

What we will provide

All of these units will be reinforced with tactical gear such as thermal drones, ground drones, po

wer stations - items that always critically needed for carrying out tasks more effectively.

Secondly, the fundraiser focuses on supporting their R&D laboratories - where the most advanced new solutions are being developed for current needs at a very fast rate. Being on the ground means that the engineers working in these units build and deploy the new technology for the battlefield needs at an extremely fast rate, to stay a step ahead of the enemy. This fundraiser will enable the units to develop new materials and techniques at a higher speed, which will enable (longer) advantage of the enemy.

Lyut Brigade, for example, was provided with a special antenna and advanced drone parts from previous UAO fundraisers which our channel supported. It has enable the relative small Lyut team to become one of the more efficient drone teams in the area of taking down lancets, zala’s and the larger fixed wing Italma’s. With this fundraiser we want to support the expansion of their activities.

3rd assault has a respected R&D laboratory which UAO has supplied with specialized parts from past fundraisers, enabling for example the optimalisation of 15 ground drones and the production of 10 antenna-carrying drones. For the present “Turn up the pressure” campaign we have exciting ideas, which we cannot share yet for the sake of security.
