Typhoon Ursula Relief for Malapascua Island
On Christmas Eve, 2019, Malapascua Island received a direct hit from Typhoon Ursula.
Many homes were damaged or destroyed.
For instance, many of you know of DMs/ Instructor Rissa and Marvin. The header photo is of where the home they used to live. If you look at the long white object on the bottom right, you will see that it is an upturned boat that went through their home :( There are many more stories like this.
This fundraiser has been started to help rebuild the homes of the staff and families of Thresher Shark Divers. We are still trying to work out the full extent of the damage and more info will be added as we get it.
Any small amount helps:
A bag of cement is USD $4.
An 8ft length of zinc roofing is $6.
A piece of plywood is $9.
Lumber starts from as little as $2.
You may choose your currency from the ones listed, we are using this platform as it seems to be the cheapest in terms of fees. Total fees are around 5-6% so if you want to make a larger donation, a bank transfer might be better, just email us - [email protected].
Thank you everyone!
