Goal

Ukraine's Paralympic Warriors from the 23rd Brigade Need a 4x4 Van

UAO gets contacted by Ukraine's sitting volleyball athletes

Sometimes, help requests from units come from the most unexpected directions.

In Fall of 2025, our team was contacted by a work colleague of one of our volunteers (as you know, our volunteers have normal jobs beside of their unpaid volunteering work). The work colleague - who plays sitting volleyball and has been a multiple times paralympics athlete - has been contact by befriended players of Ukraine's sitting volleyball team who currently fight for the 23 Mechanized Brigade.

He described his intent to help wholeheartedly: "The sitting volleyball world is small and everybody knows everyone. When we heard that there is something we can do for them, we did not hesitate! Many players have been active for years (and even decades). We share a lot of memories together and beside the Court there is a lot of friendship!"

Their unit was in need of energy suppy (generators and powerstations) as well as a 4x4 Van for frontline logistics. We wrote with Maksym - one of the players and warriors - to figure out how we can help them.

An armored 4x4 Van for their unit

Due to our previous energy fundraisers (which you greatly supported), we were already able to deliver them critical energy supply items (see video below). Now we also want to follow up by delivering the armored 4x4 Van for their unit! This will be a relatively small fundraiser for around 10.000$, however, it will make a huge impact for the boys at the front!

We just provided powerstations to Maksim's unit. Now, we also want to provide the requested van.
