Trisha Rivers for Sioux City School Board

Hello! My name is Trisha Rivers and I'm currently running for the Sioux City School Board in this upcoming election. My goal is to become to a trusted and reliable advocate for our public education system by listening to our students, families, faculty, and educators. It is no secret what is going on with state legislation. However, I feel that it is highly important that our local communities are able to create the change they want to see by engaging civically and politically. This is an important time for our community to stick together and work through challenging obstacles in the name of public education. I am focused on creating listening sessions for all stakeholders (students, families, etc.), working towards small changes that will help long-term sustainable systems, and advocating on a local and state level to voice our concerns and praises to state legislators.

With your donation, I will be able to run a grassroots campaign which often uses things such as door hangers, yard signs, and hosting event spaces for forums and fundraisers. I would be honored to have your vote and support on November 7th at the election polls.
