Goal
This year, I'm visiting 3 parts of Greece, to support refugee families I met my first year who are still living in limbo, as well as to provide strategic support and hands on cleaning and cooking at Home for All, an organization that feeds, cares for, and supports refugees living in what has been referred to by the media as "the worst refugee camp on earth." Eric is staying put in California, working on environmental issues, selling art to support refugee work, and looking into humanitarian work at our own border. If you'd like to get involved in any of these initiatives, please be in touch. In the meantime, you can make a direct impact on someone's life, as 100% of the money I collect goes directly to needs that I observe in the field. Together, we've funded the opening of a shop inside a refugee camp so a family could make money, art supplies and lessons so a teen could have a hobby (and he sold his art to raise money for his family), food for so many people including families stranded on the side of the road when their camp was lit on fire, flights for families who asylum status in other countries and were allowed to leave their camps, ferry tickets for refugees allowed to leave the island to get to Athens to look for work, and let's not forget year one - the opening of a school! Let's see where this year brings us.
