Red Maple Guided Tree Walk 2026

Join the Frederick Forestry Board for a guided tree walk along the red trail of Gambrill State Park. During this guided walk through the forest, a forestry Board member will explain differences in forest ecosystems, succession, tree ID, and answer your questions. 

Please beware that there are some areas that are steep and of of rough terrain.

Where: Meet at the lower parking lot of Gambrill Heights

To register, please select the amount to donate then click the "Next" button. All donations to the Forestry Board help us sponsor Frederick County High School students’ participation in the annual Natural Resources Career Camp. If you would prefer not to donate, please send an e-mail to webmaste.fcfcdb@gmail.com and let us know you will attend. We want to have the number of participants so we can be sure to have enough folks on hand to accomodate everyone.
