Trap Hill H.S. Alumni Association Andrew B. Holland Scholarship Fund

Andy Holland (1948-2011), an avid golfer, was adopted as an infant by Basil and Mabel Holland of Gen Daniel. Studious and quiet, he graduated from Trap Hill HS and took out loans to fund his way through college. He earned a degree in education with an emphasis on mathematics and then a Masters Degree in Education. He taught algebra and coached basketball at Liberty HS. As part of his legacy, he wanted to provide access to higher education for those most deserving, but not always financially able. His desire to help provide a pathway for Liberty HS graduates for years to come led him to leave a gift of $250,000 in his will to this fund at BAF through the Trap Hill Alumni Association.
