Goal
Transitional Treatment Services is in need of your help! We are looking for raise funds to build our non-profit organization and open our first sober living home for women. We have built the base of our organization and are continuing to grow at a steady pace but we need community support.
The current waiting list for women and their families seeking alcohol and other drug treatment services is increasing each day. Women are faced with months of waiting, hoping a bed will open up for them. With each day, is the chance to return to old lifestyles and habits that could tear apart families or even end lives.
Missouri has seen an extreme increase in the number of opiate related overdoses over the past several years. Along with the opioid epidemic hitting close to home, alcohol and a number of other substances often find their way into the lives of our loved ones and take everything down with them. There has been limited opportunities for women to find a safe place to lay their heads during the transitional period between treatment and returning home. A number of facilities within the state of Missouri have waiting lists that don't allow immediate entry into a sober living home. St. Charles County more specifically has only three sober living homes for women, with each home holding up to only ten women at one time.
In 2017, 314 women were admitted into treatment in St. Charles County. Countless women were unable to secure a bed in a sober living facility for the lack of room. With only three homes in St. Charles County, that leaves a number of women at risk for relapse and little opportunity to ease back into their home environment.
The goal of Transitional Treatment Services, is to provide women with the opportunity and tools to succeed in their journey of sobriety. Learning how to live a new lifestyle, with healthy habits is vital in becoming the best version of oneself. Our program of community, recovery and rebuilding, allows for life to become that of opportunity, rather than that of struggle. Transitional Treatment Services provides, sober living placement, on-site drug and alcohol abuse counseling, in-home AA and NA meetings, support, on-site drug and alcohol testing and more.
Transitional Treatment Services wants to fill the gap between release out of treatment into sober living, with door-to-door entry. We welcome women, ages 21 and up, who are ready to make healthy changes in their lives.
Help us give women hope, who need it now more than ever!
