Dear Friend,

I am running as a candidate to become an Independent Member of Parliament at the General Election on Thursday 4th July 2024.

I have been deeply disillusioned by our two party, first past the post system for over three decades.

More than 150 MPs have decided to stand down at this election. It seems that they share my disillusionment.

There are cracks opening within the system, cracks which offer the first real opportunity for the green shoots of change to grow.

I am independent of all political parties.

I am part of a people’s movement of Trailblazers. Trailblazers is not a political party, it is a movement of like-minded people who believe that our existing system is broken, and who are visioning a brighter more abundant future for the many rather than the current status quo which serves only the few.

There are costs involved in standing for election.

There is a £500 deposit to stand (refundable if I poll over 5% of the turnout) and I will be printing and posting leaflets to everyone on the electoral register of Kemptown and Peacehaven constituency to raise awareness of my campaign. The estimated cost of printing and posting these leaflets is £2,000 so we would need around £2,500 for the most grass roots of campaigns.

If you are able to make a contribution towards these costs, I will be most grateful. You would have to be on the electoral register for this to be a valid contribution according to regulations if your donation is over £50.

There is lots of work to do over this very short campaign period and my friends and I will be working tirelessly with no financial reward. All money contributed will be used to cover the expenses of the campaign and will be fully declared to the electoral commission.
