Tour de Taco Family Fun Run

We had big plans for kicking off our capital campaign to build our retreat house with a Cinco de Mayo family fun run ending on the Crowned for Ashes property, but in lieu of a traditional race (because ... social distancing), we've decided to take this event VIRTUAL and we are so excited that that means even more friends can participate!!

Why Cinco de Mayo?

2 years ago, after the loss of her husband Chris, CFA's founder Ashley was supported in a huge way when her community came together to host a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser to help with living expenses.  We've taken the memory of that camaraderie and fun and transitioned into into a time where the community as a whole can now support this organization that was once Chris's dream.

We thought the fact that Cinco de Mayo coincides with Taco Tuesday this year would make for a really fun event your entire family can participate in, regardless of where you live!

So here's how it works!

Choose your adventure!  Walk, bike or run your choice of 0.5k or 5k in your neighborhood on Cinco de Mayo (or really any time you want!) and plan for a fun taco night with your family afterwards.  We'd love for you to tag us in your photos and we even have a themed Facebook photo border and a hashtag for you to use to share the fun and help us spread awareness of Crowned for Ashes!

Upon completion of your registration, you'll be emailed a digital bib you can print at home and you can even choose to order a finisher t-shirt sporting our Tour de Taco mascot!!

We hope you'll get in on this fun event and help us kick off our campaign to build an ADA friendly place for wounded, ill and injured veterans and their spouses and young widows to come find respite and fellowship with others!
