Goal

This year we decided to do something special for Tristan's birthday. We're going to take part in the Yamathon Half-a-Half Race. It's approximately 10km along the famous JR Yamanote Line starting at Tokyo Station to raise money for several non-profits.

Please consider donating to celebrate his 8th birthday and the wonderful organizations this race supports (3 Japanese organizations and the international World Central Kitchen).

The race date is Oct. 4 and we promise to post lots of photos on social media so you can follow along! :)

Who You’ll Be Walking For

Your fundraising supports four incredible organizations making a lasting impact in Japan and beyond:

  • NPO WAFFLE – Closing the gender gap in tech by empowering girls with digital skills and coding know-how.

  • Tochigi Conservation Corps (TCC) – Restoring Japan’s natural landscapes and building future environmental leaders through youth-led action.

  • Japan Children’s Hospice Association – Expanding pediatric palliative care and creating a more compassionate future for children with life-threatening illnesses.

  • World Central Kitchen (WCK) – Providing fresh, nourishing meals to communities in crisis, including rapid relief for survivors of the Noto Peninsula earthquake.

Please note that 15% of any donation received will go toward the general operating fund of the International Volunteer Group - Japan to sustain our ongoing mission and ensure the Tokyo Yamathon program continues to thrive.
