TKO Lifeline: Sustaining Care, Empowering Community

TKO is an oasis for many, given the unique challenges for Black TLGBQ+ folks in the South. Our outreach and community care have made a life-changing impact, particularly in the realm of public health, since 2017, when TKO became the first and only AIDS Service Organization (ASO) and STD/STI clinic in the state of Alabama founded and led by Black Trans, gender nonconforming, and LGBQ+ people. We are a team of community people serving the communities that we come from and represent. We are determined to keep our people safe.

We are facing threats to our funding by the federal funding freeze. We need your help to maintain our free HIV testing, prevention, treatment and care coordination services, among the slate of other offerings that affirm and assure Black TLGBQ+ people in Alabama every day.
