| Hello, my name is María Tamay, and I am originally from Ecuador. In October 2025, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. That day changed my life forever, but it also marked the beginning of a journey that I faced with courage, the love of my family, and, above all, an unshakable faith in God. My greatest motivation to keep fighting has always been my husband and my children. Although I experienced fear, uncertainty, and many moments of pain, I never stopped believing that things would get better. I learned that, during such a difficult journey, a positive attitude can make a meaningful difference, and that hope gives us the strength to keep moving forward. Today, by the grace of God, I am in post-treatment, and I can say with confidence that breast cancer can be overcome. Being part of the Resilientes and El Mismo Barco support groups reminded me that no one should face cancer alone. I am deeply honored to represent the Hispanic community and to share a message of hope. Thank you for supporting this cause, because every donation helps bring strength, hope, and support to individuals and families facing cancer. |
