Goal

I am honored to participate as a model in the Through the Lens event for Ann’s Place because life is truly a gift!

I am a cancer survivor, but that isn’t what defines me.  My greatest joy comes from my family and appreciating life’s simple pleasures. I love reading, taking daily walks, going to concerts, enjoying the beauty of being outside, while cherishing quiet, everyday moments.

When I was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago, I learned firsthand that navigating that journey requires immense strength and support. Throughout my treatment and surgeries, my faith in God along with the unwavering support of my husband, children, family, and friends carried me through. Afterward, I joined the LIVESTRONG program to rebuild my strength. I also took up running, and eventually crossed the finish line of a half-marathon! Accomplishing that was a powerful reminder of the incredible gifts that can come from life's greatest challenges.

No one should have to walk this path without support. That is why the vital services Ann's Place provides to individuals and their families facing cancer are so close to my heart.

Participating in this event is my way to celebrate life, stand with others in their fight, and honor all those close to me who have had cancer including my dad, sister, mother-in-law, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
