My Name is Suamara,

I am currently facing stage 4 sarcoma, which initially started in my shoulder and later moved to my lungs.   I have received surgeries, also chemotherapy and radiation. I am currently still in treatment and I am not giving up.  Today despite my process I consider myself a resilient woman, strong and positive, I have never lost faith, God has helped me at all times.

Ann's Place has been a great help to me, I am part of different support groups in Spanish, which is a huge blessing because I can speak my own language and connect with wonderful women whom I admire and appreciate very much.  At Ann's Place I have learned not to lose my essence, to be aware of how important self-care is and to express my emotions. 

I am making this runway to help raise funds for  Ann's Place so that more women like me can move forward, not feel alone, and receive free services.
