Hello, my name is Ivelisse. I am a fighter, a proud mother of three, and a grandmother to six beautiful grandchildren. I am a woman who wakes up with new hope every single day.

In 2025, I was diagnosed with stage three triple-negative breast cancer. In that moment, my life changed. At first, I thought it was the end, I worried about my family and the pain they might have to endure.

I quickly began chemotherapy and all that comes with it, the endless doctor visits, the changes to my body, the loss of my hair. But one thing I never lost was faith.

At Ann’s Place, I found more than just support. I found a place where I could feel joy again. I am deeply grateful for the unconditional love, attention, respect, empathy, and kindness that everyone has shown me there.

This has been one of the most beautiful blessings in my cancer journey. From group programs to individual support and even services like acupuncture, Ann’s Place has been a lifeline for me, and I carry that gratitude in my heart.

Yes, cancer leaves scars, but the footprints Ann’s Place has left on my heart and in my family’s life will stay with me forever.
