I am a breast cancer survivor for over 10 years. Fortunately, my journey with the disease was NOT a hard one; however, for many people we all know that is not always the case. Cancer is often devastating and sometimes deadly. My father died from colon cancer when I was 19.

These are just two personal reasons I have for choosing to participate in a fundraiser for Ann's Place in Danbury, CT. This nonprofit provides a broad range of free support services to individuals and families facing cancer.

I am honored to be one of the 18 models for Through The Lens, a portrait photography series by local photographers and cancer survivors. We are having a reception on September 30th at the Heritage Hotel in Southbury, CT.
