Hi my name is Akita Ashley, I am 32 years young. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Danbury Ct when I was 21, but now I reside in Norwalk CT since 2020. I am a survivor or triple negative breast cancer. A week before my 28th birthday I found out I had breast cancer and it shook my world. I thought it wasn’t true because I felt there was no way I’m this young and have breast cancer. But sure enough it was true. I am a mother of 3 beautiful kids and at the time I only had 2 kids. I was told it was a high risk of me not having anymore kids after chemotherapy, but my baby A’mirakle is here and she will be turning 1 year on September 25th. I also have the Braca-1 gene. I won’t let cancer stop me! I am a warrior and after 17 rounds of chemo, 1 double mastectomy and DIEP flap reconstructive surgery I am here! I beat the battle!
