Encourage and support The Board Interns 2023-4
Now in its third cohort, The Board Internship (TBI) places Christian leaders, between 22 and 35 years of age, in a year-long program that includes conferences, training webinars, placement for a year in the boardroom of a host organisation, board mentoring, networking and more. Interns not only gain knowledge about ministry governance, but experience it in the real world of a well-functioning Christian boardroom. They graduate from TBI with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to make a valuable contribution in the boardrooms of the future.
Who is The Board Internship?
TBI is a joint project of Korus Connect in Victoria (www.korusconnect.org.au) and CMA (www.cma.net.au) – charities who share a passion for helping Christian organisations become as effective as they can be.
How is TBI Funded?
Interns are not charged a fee to participate, host organisations pay a fee to help with program costs, TBI meets the travel and conference costs for the interns, and a peer fundraising campaign among the interns, plus our general fundraising for TBI, seeks to meet the remaining cohort costs - and to develop the program for future expansion.
Will you invest in future ministry boards?
Each intern is asked to participate in a peer-fundraising campaign, with a goal of raising $1000 each to cover the remaining costs of their participation in the program. Korus Connect and CMA are prayerfully seeking to separately raise a matching amount, to help grow the program beyond just the year's running costs.
