Goal

I’m excited to be part of The Board Internship (TBI) program, a year-long program run jointly by Korus Connect and CMA.

It can be difficult for young people to get into a boardroom – as I know from personal experience of rejected applications.

This program recognises that young people can add value to boards today, while also investing in the boards of the future, by enabling young people to sit on a board for 12 months, for an immersive internship experience.

TBI operates within the Christian non-profit space, acknowledging that there have been some public governance failings in Christian organisations and seeking to make good governance a priority in this sector.

Since June 2025, I have been an intern on the board of Korus ConnectWhat has particularly struck me is how a love for God and others drives each member of the board and shapes the vision and decisions of the organisation.

It is my hope that I am making a positive contribution to the board of Korus Connect and I am excited by the prospect of future opportunities to serve on boards.

Interns are not charged a fee to participate in The Board Internship program. Instead, we are asked to participate in a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. My personal goal is to raise $1000 to support the program's costs, which relate to staffing, administration, learning materials, and the initiative's expansion.

If you are inspired, I would sincerely appreciate a donation towards my campaign for The Board Internship program.

You can donate using the box on this page. You can select a one-off or recurring amount and use the drop-down menu to designate your gift to my fundraising effort or to the general program.

Please note: your donation is tax-deductible.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. Thank you for your support of me and TBI!

The Board Internship is not a standalone organisation, but is a partnership between CMA and Korus Connect (The Council for Christian Education in Schools). Korus Connect has confirmed that the activities of The Board Internship meet the criteria of their deductible gift recipient status, and therefore donations to ‘The Board Internship’ will actually be donations to Korus Connect (The Council for Christian Education in Schools), and a tax-deductible receipt will be issued within five days.
