Fundraising on behalf of The Board Internship
I am honoured and privileged to participate in The Board Internship (TBI) program for 2024/2025. Having witnessed the challenges of finding quality, faithful, and competent people to serve on a Christian board I previously reported to, I was thrilled to discover TBI's commitment to addressing this need. This program is dedicated to training and equipping young Christians with the skills and experience necessary to lead and govern the Christian organisations of the future.
TBI is primarily a partnership of many. Korus Connect and CMA organise and administer the program, Host Boards open their boardrooms for observation, and Mentors generously give their time to share wisdom and guidance. Interns, like myself, commit our time to participate and learn. In addition financial supporters play a vital role in partnership to ensure the program's sustainability and growth into the future.
Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me financially in this journey? All donations are tax deductible and your contribution will help train and equip the next generation of Christian board members, ensuring Christian organisations remain effective and faithful into the future.
What is The Board Internship?
The Board Internship (TBI) places Christian leaders, between 22 and 35 years of age, in a year-long program that includes conferences, training webinars, placement for a year in the boardroom of a host organisation, board mentoring, networking and more. Interns not only gain knowledge about ministry governance, but experience it in the real world of a well-functioning Christian boardroom. They graduate from TBI with the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to make a valuable contribution in the boardrooms of the future.
Who is The Board Internship? www.theboardinternship.org.au
TBI is a joint project of Korus Connect (www.korusconnect.org.au) and CMA (www.cma.net.au) – charities who share a passion for helping Christian organisations become as effective as they can be.
How is TBI funded?
Interns are not charged a fee to participate. TBI meets their travel and conference costs, host organisations pay a fee to contribute towards these program costs, but this fee doesn't cover the hard costs of the program. Our interns participate in this peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, each with an individual goal to raise at least $1000 towards the remaining costs of their internship. In addition, CMA and Korus Connect seek to raise a matching amount ($1000 per intern, or $18,000 in 2024-5), to provide the funds needed for things beyond the core participation costs, like staffing, administration, and expanding the initiative.
Will you invest in future ministry boards?
We invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with us by either supporting one of the individual interns in reaching their campaign goal, or by making a donation to the general program of The Board Internship. By using the donation box on this page, you can select an amount - either one-off or recurring - and use the drop-down box to designate an individual intern, or the general program. Your tax-deductible gift, either in support of an individual intern, or as a general gift, helps ensure that church and ministry boards will benefit more and more from the energy, perspective and experience of today’s young interns.
Thank you!
