Goal

Winter in Whatcom County is cold, wet, and unforgiving. This year, too many of our unhoused neighbors are facing winter without shelter. There aren’t enough beds, and there are never quite enough essential supplies to go around.

While Road2Home unfortunately isn't able to operate a winter shelter this season, our team and volunteers are still deeply committed to showing up for our community. We know that even a single basic item, like a full propane canister, a dry sleeping bag, or a rainproof coat, can mean the difference between enduring another night or not making it through at all.

Through the Winter Lifeline campaign, we are rallying our community to make sure no one is left behind in the cold. Donations will go directly toward the essentials that keep people safe and alive: propane for heat and cooking, weatherproof gear, blankets, tents, and other basic supplies that too often run short when they are needed most.

Every dollar raised will help our outreach team get these items into the hands of those sleeping outside quickly. We have seen what a difference it makes when people know their community has not forgotten them.

Here’s what your gift can do today:

$5 • Helps keep someone warm and dry with a new pair of socks

$10 • Provides a warm blanket or gloves to get through a cold night

$25 • Keeps someone safe from the cold with the means to cook a hot meal

$50 • Supports basic dignity and health with five personal hygiene kits

$100 • Ensures 2 people have a dry place to sleep for the night

$250 • Ensures a warmer night’s sleep for five people with high quality sleeping bags

This winter, let’s stand together. Let’s make sure our neighbors have what they need to survive, and to know they are not alone.
