Our mission is to ensure that anyone in the state of Texas has a safe, caring, supportive, and seamless travel experience, and that they have a chance to be with others in an open and connecting environment as they access the reproductive healthcare they need. We are taking abortion travel out of the shadows, and with group flight travel, no one will ever be alone or stuck in a silo again. It’s time to change everything.
Navigating everything required to get through an airport is hard, even if you travel often. Now imagine all that goes into arranging a medical procedure in another state and doing all of that without knowing anyone, being alone, stressed, and nauseous. That's why the Texas Tubman Initiative exists. We know this initiative works because we have been implementing it since the laws in Texas went into effect. Fast forward to now, and this initiative has supported over 400 women in traveling out of their home state of Texas and into New Mexico to receive the medical abortion care they need and want. Our priority is to ensure each and every one of our Tubman travelers has the safety, care, and support of a real person, not to mention an entire group of volunteers to guide them through it all. At the end of the day, we make sure our travelers have everything they need to have a life-affirming and life-changing experience.
