The Statue of Juan Pablo Duarte: Construction of Base & Statue Installation

After 15 years of grassroots fundraising and many community efforts, The Dominican-American Center of New Jersey is in the final stages of its largest project to date: the Installation of the full body statue of founding father, Juan Pablo Duarte. The culmination of this project will simultaneously be the start of a new era for the representation and organization of the Dominican community in the state of New Jersey.

As you read in the statue timeline, the statue itself is already fully developed and has been delivered directly from the Dominican Republic to the State of New Jersey. It is currently boxed and in storage, awaiting the grand moment of installation. Your donation will support us in funding the construction of a sound base for the statue, seating and fencing at the park where the statue will be installed, and the mounting of the statue itself.
