Goal
Woodworkers For a Cause Supporting the Purple Heart Project
Woodworkers For a Cause began in 2010 as Woodworkers Fighting Cancer, bringing the woodworking community together to support meaningful charities. Since then, our community has raised more than $150,000 through charity builds, auctions, live events, and individual donations.
In 2026, we are back and proud to support the Purple Heart Project, an organization that introduces combat-wounded Veterans to the peace, purpose, and community found through traditional hand-tool woodworking.
Purple Heart Project scholarships fully fund selected Veterans to attend a week-long woodworking workshop, including travel, tuition, meals, tools, and a custom workbench delivered to their home.
This year’s fundraiser will include a WFC charity auction featuring donated tools, products, and experiences from companies throughout the woodworking industry.
We will also host an all-day live event on October 3, featuring demonstrations, sponsor discussions, auction highlights, and opportunities to support the Purple Heart Project.
