Goal
Behind the postcard beaches lies a quiet crisis: Cats on dozens of local islands and in the crowded capital city of Malé are struggling to survive with scarce food and water, no veterinary access, and only a few people willing to care for them. Many are thin, malnourished, or injured- waiting for help that never comes.
Together with our partners FWO (Feline Welfare Organization) in Malé, we are stepping in before it’s too late.
Your support brings food, medicine, spay/neuter care, and hope to cats who have nothing else.
Island cats in the Maldives are among the most vulnerable animals in the region.
Many live on isolated islands where:
There are no experienced veterinarians
Food is scarce
Injuries go untreated
Populations grow uncontrollably
Kittens are born simply to suffer
But we can change their lives.
With your support, Cat Savers International will provide:
Spay/neuter surgeries to stop the endless cycle of suffering
Daily feeding for starving cats
Medicine and emergency treatment
Recovery care for the weakest animals at a new animal shelter built by the government, operated by Feline Welfare Organization, and supported by Cat Savers International
Training and support for local rescuers doing their best with limited resources
Every donation becomes food in an empty stomach, healing for an injured paw, or a safe future for a female cat who will never have to struggle again.
You can bring compassion to a place where these cats truly need help.
Please help these island cats survive — and thrive.
