Goal
The Hedgehog Project is an awareness and rescue operation in response to the decline of one of Britain's most loved mammals, the humble hedgehog. We have set about this operation due to yet another record-breaking year for hedgehog admissions to the hospital. August 2021 has admitted its 400th hedgehog to the hospital, going by last years and other statistics this number could well double towards the end of the year!
As a working hospital, we want to know what's happening out there to the hedgehogs and why they are falling behind and being admitted to care for help. Also, alongside data gathering, we will be offering engaging hedgehog workshops, available free of charge to schools, colleges, clubs, societies, and we will also host public events of our own across Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
We rely totally on the financial support of the public and businesses of Oxfordshire. Your donations help us with the following :
- Veterinary costs / Medications / X-Rays / orthopedic work (surgery)
- The costs involved of running the hospital
- Purchasing the equipment required for the care and rehabilitation of the hedgehogs
- The Hedgehog project campaign (funding allocated for the talks, events, and the workshops we will be carrying out)
- ( were looking to build 20 new hedgehog shelters for overwintering patients)
We are looking to raise enough money to drive this project forward, and build more specific facilities exclusivly for hedgehogs here at the hospital, we've admitted so far 400 this year, by the end of the year, this could be doubled.
Your donation can make this happen.

I would really like to adopt one please - we have a hedgehog house, and a cottage garden, just right for hedgehogs.
