THE GIFTED EQUINE FOUNDATION
We are a 501c3 non-profit horse rescue with locations in Ohio and Texas.
EIN 88-3075349
We are dedicated to saving horses from the slaughter pipeline and other neglectful situations and providing them with the respect and high-quality care they deserve.
WHY DONATE?
The reality is that in order to rescue these lives, it takes funding. Checkbooks can change the world – and most of us individually don’t have enough to do it on our own. That is why community and fundraising is so important.
The cost of rescue is more than the transactional receipt at auction or owner surrender handover. To responsibly rescue, the horses often times need to be rehabilitated both physically and emotionally. There is the cost of feed, supplements, vet expenses, transport, training, and housing/shelter. The Gifted Equine not only does the initial rescue, but does right by the animals we save. We do all with integrity and with the animal always being priority.
Donations help to save lives, but also ensures that not only do the animals get to live, but they get to really LIVE life that way they deserve.
Haley and Savanah of The Gifted Equine
When you donate you are helping save lives, providing:
- Transport costs to get them safely to the rescue facilities
- Veterinary costs* (a major expense for equine rescue)
- Medical costs associated with rehabilitation
- Training if needed to provide the animal with tools to not only survive, but thrive
- Basics like feed, supplements, bedding, etc
- Their residency while we rehabilitate them and all it takes to support them.
- Operational costs/day to day needs
- Expansion of TGE. We are working diligently to build out our Texas property to accommodate more rescue residents
