Who We Are:

TFG is a nonprofit service organization that identifies the gaps that occur when a child, birth up to eighteen, experiences a crisis that prevents them from returning to their natural home. TFG offers comfort, encouragement, resources, necessities, and support to that child to help bridge the placement gap, remove barriers to success, and ease the trauma of the transition until a solution for a more permanent situation can be found. We also address other gaps in the foster care system such as decreased foster care community and homes, options for youth aging out of foster care, and community awareness of the situations and needs.

Our Mission:

Your donations help our team work toward our mission, which is that every child who experiences a crisis and cannot return to their natural home experiences a comforting transition, with minimal barriers, minimal waiting, minimal additional trauma, and with all needs addressed until a more stable resolution can be found. 

How We Help:

Our primary services include an on-call team that delivers what a child needs to them while they are waiting for somewhere to go and installation of child-friendly waiting areas in police stations, court houses, and DCS offices. Our other services include Christmas presents for youth recently aged out of foster care, assisting in finding specialty items for children in foster care, scholarships for graduating seniors aging out of foster care, and hosting gatherings for local foster parents and relative caregivers to connect with one another.

How You Can Help:

We would be honored if you considered donating toward our mission. We use your donations to purchase items the child needs as well as items of comfort, hoping that it will provide them something positive during one of the hardest moments of their lives. We also use your donations to cover the expense of our "A Place to Wait" child-friendly waiting areas. Since the children are allowed to take comforting items from the waiting area with them when the wait is over, we frequently restock these areas with new items for the next child that will need a place to play and rest.
